French World Endurance Champion Foray lands BSB ride

Frenchman Freddy Foray will make his debut in the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship this season as the former World Endurance Champion and French Superbike Championship contender makes the switch to the UK.

He will join PR Racing alongside Gary Mason as the team also announce Quattro Plant as their new title sponsor. Foray won the 2010 World Endurance Championship with the SERT Suzuki team whilst simultaneously competing in the French Superbike Championship, where he ended fourth overall.

Foray also celebrated victory in the Bol d’Or and competed in the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup.

“Coming to the UK has been a goal of mine and I would like to thank Quattro Plant Kawasaki for this opportunity,” he said. “It will be very exciting making my debut with the team and the Championship as the level of riders this year is very high and I think it is a good step for me.

“It will be a challenge, which I am looking forward to, so I am keen to get out on the Quattro Plant Kawasaki as soon as possible and learn the tracks as they are different to our tracks in France.”

The 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship kicks off at Brands Hatch over Easter weekend on 6-9 April.
