My Way

Greatest moment of your career?
Getting a 125 wildcard in 2009. On more of a personal level winning the 2012 Master of Mac Park. It’s my home track and has been won by so many top riders, Jeremy Burgess, Andrew Johnson, Steve Martin, Glenn Richards, Dave Johnson and so on.

Toughest race ever?
The 2009 125 GP Race, or any of the current British Races! Make a mistake and drop about 5 places!

Long-term goal?
Racing has already taken me further than I ever expected, anything now I’m taking as a bonus. Just to keep working hard and be persistent, and see where I can get.

Mac Park in Australia and Jerez in Spain

As a kid I loved Crusty Demon videos

Non-bike related hobbies?
Playing the drums or anything else to get an adrenaline rush – mountain biking, travelling, watching live music shows.

Do you read your pit board?
Yes, although in England most of the straights are still around corners so I’ve struggled a little!

What car do you drive?
A Mercedes Vito back home and a Renault Megane in the UK

Favourite magazine?
AMCN

What’s on the iPod?
Anything from Pete Murray to heavy music

Best thing about the British Superbike Championship?
The professionalism of it all – huge crowds, great people to work with, and everyone is so willing to help you out in any way that they can.

Who will win the British Superbike Championship?
I think Shakey will be hard to beat, but I’d like to see Alex Lowes win it to help boost him into WSBK. I hope to see Josh Waters up there as we all know what he is capable of.
