Does anything have what it takes to steal the AUStest crown from Honda’s dominant Fireblade? Come along to find out!
The countdown is on and the excitement is peaking with the most coveted accolade in the country set to kick off in less than two weeks!
AMCN’s quest for Australia’s Ultimate Sportsbike (AUStest) is just around the corner and this time you’re invited to come along and see just how rigorously we test every superbike and supersport machine in a bid to uncover Australia’s ultimate sportsbike.
On Sunday, 10 May, at Sydney’s Eastern Creek Raceway, we’ll have all the big names in the industry on hand to push the latest and greatest sportsbikes to the limit – only after the manufacturers have their own who’s who set them up for what will be a sportsbike fan’s ultimate day out.
Set-up riders include Shannon Johnson, Pat Medcalfe, Jamie Stauffer, Shawn Giles, Craig McMartin and Kevin Curtain with more to be announced before the day.
There’s former and current Australian Champions, the country’s top privateer racers, former 500cc grand prix racers and international riders all fit, pumped and prepped to ride so we can bring you again the most comprehensive sportsbike test in Australia with only one superbike and Supersport machine coming out on top.
A control tyre will ensure a level playing field and with Bridgestone’s new BT-003 RS designed specifically for fast road riding and track days, they’re are the perfect rubber for our AUStest shootout.
Warm-up will begin at 9am at the circuit with the battle officially kicking off at 10am sharp and we won’t stop until we’re satisfied we’ve pushed every limit of every rider on every bike until there’s only one clear winner in each class.
So come and get involved, meet the team and watch as we stalk and hunt down Australia’s Ultimate Sportsbike!
