ASBK: Aussie Racing Cars set for Eastern Creek ASBK round

The Aussie Racing Cars have been confirmed for the fourth round of the Woodstock Bourbon Australian Superbike Championship at Eastern Creek Raceway in New South Wales on 7-9 August.

Following speculation that the Aussie racers would be at the Creek round months ago, their addition for the round has now been finalised and features on the site’s calendar.

Having the four-wheel terrors on hand at the Eastern Creek round will add to the interest from general motorsports fans and is set to attract an entirely new fan base to ASBK action.

Aussie Racing Cars also compete as a support class at the Australian Formula One Grand Prix, the A1 Super GP on the Gold Coast, and various V8 Supercar rounds including the Sydney 400 in Homebush this December.

It is believed that negotiations are still ongoing whether or not we’ll see the ASBK series merge with the V8 Supercar Championship for at least one round later this year or in 2010, with all parties remaining very tight lipped on the subject.
