Off-Road: New structure planned for 2010 promotion of A4DE

MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA:

Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to announce that the 2010 Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) will be organised by a Committee consisting of members of the Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club, the MA Enduro Commission and will receive support from a number of local New South Wales Motorcycle Clubs.

The 2010 A4DE will be held from 8-11 April and will be based at Portland, NSW, which is situated between Lithgow and Bathurst to the west of the Blue Mountains.

With promoters, Dirt Bike Promotions, deciding not to continue to run the event, the organisation of the A4DE by this Committee is an interim measure designed to give MA time to advertise for expressions of interest for a promoter to run the event in 2011 and beyond.

MA’s Enduro Commission Chairman, Collin Jennings, said that the Committee was already working hard to ensure that the 2010 A4DE was on-track for April.

“The A4DE Committee has pledged to maintain the high standard of organisation and professionalism which Dirt Bike Promotions brought to the sport,” Jennings said.

“The committee is already working hard acquiring permissions to use private properties for special tests, dealing with all the underlying administrative issues, and gaining support from the industry.

“It is intended that MA will then draw up a contract and let a tender to a suitable promoter to ensure the future of this long running event.”

Further information regarding the 2010 A4DE will be release as soon as it becomes available.
