Oz SX: Moss could wrap up 2009 Pro Lites Super X title tonight

Team Rockstar Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss could wrap up the 2009 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, in the Pro Lites class tonight at Parramatta Stadium.

The American-bound star will wrap up the title if he wins the round tonight, with just one round remaining for the Lites class at Brisbane on 5 December as the Lites category in the New Zealand round is a non-championship event.

Moss has had a perfect season to date on his 2010 model RM-Z250, and should he wrap up the championship tonight, he’ll commence testing on an RM-Z450 this week and compete in the Open class at the Hamilton round in NZ, as reported on MotoOnline.com.au last weekend.

“It’s going to take some work and good speed if I want to run with Chad, but it will be a good learning experience and good for the team to get a 450 back out there,” said Moss of his 450 return.

It is yet to be decided whether or not the 21-year-old will also contest the final round of the series on the Open-class bike in Brisbane.
