Oz RR: Team Green wins Production class at Oran Park 6 Hour

KAWASAKI AUSTRALIA:

Team Green riders Jason Kain, Mark Hatch and Rodney Taplin have won the production class at the 2009 6 Hour race at Oran Park Raceway on board a Ninja
ZX-10R on Sunday 22 November.

The last race ever to be held at the famous Oran Park Raceway, the 2009 6 Hour took place on a scorching hot Sunday with temperatures reaching over 40 degrees. Unperturbed by the uncomfortable conditions, Team Green riders Kain, Hatch and Taplin rode brilliantly on board the Kawasaki Ninja to qualify fastest in their production class, clocking the fastest lap time along the way.

Come race time and the team came out firing, quickly settling into a very fast race pace that would carry them through to the class win.

Throughout the 6 hours, the Team Green Ninja ZX-10R completed 261 laps of the Oran Park circuit to win top honours in the production class.

Team rider Jason Kain, who is also the Dealer Principal of Kawasaki Dealership, JK Motorsports in Goulburn NSW says, “This is a great effort for both Kawasaki and Team Green.”

“The Ninja ZX-10R performed perfectly for 6 straight hours in production form. The bike was totally standard except for a slip on muffler, brake lines and pads and race fairings so that shows just how good the Ninja ZX-10R is straight out of the box.”

“We’d like to thank Team Green Racing, Glen Willing and the entire team.”

The win is an historical one for the Ninja ZX-10R, not only because the race was to be the last at Oran Park but also because this year marks the 25th anniversary of the famous Ninja model.
