General: MA allocates $10,000 in International Rider Grants

Team Suzuki's current ASBK champion Josh Waters will recieve assistance from MA in his AMA assault.

Motorcycling Australia has announce that $10,000 in International Rider Grants has been allocated to selected riders competing overseas in the second half of 2010.

The most high profile rider of the six riders is reigning Australian Superbike Champion Josh Waters, who will contest two rounds of the American AMA Superbike Championship with Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s factory effort this month.

Other riders approved for the grant include young road racer Giuseppe Scarcella, off-road female rider Alison Parker, as well as speedway riders Nicholas Morris, Justin Sedgemen and Brady Kurtz.

According to MA, there was an outstanding response to the grants and applications for the next round of funding for International Competition between 1 January 2011 and 30 June 2011 will open later this year.
