WSS champion Sofuoglu will ride for the Technomag-CIP team in the final Moto2 rounds of the season.

The Technomag-CIP team has confirmed that Turkish rider Kenan Sofuoglu will ride for them in the final two rounds of the Moto2 World Championship at Estoril and Valencia.

The 25-year-old, who this year took his second World Supersport title, will line up alongside Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter on the Suter MMX of the French team, in place of the late Shoya Tomizawa.

“I am very happy to join forces with the Technomag-CIP team for the races at Estoril and Valencia,” said Sofuoglu. “The team has proven this year that they are capable of delivering a race winning bike.

“I want to thank Alain [Bronec, team boss] for his confidence in me and look forward to working with the very experienced crew to achieve an ending to the season that honours Shoya.”

Bronec looks forward to having Sofuoglu on the team.

“First of all, congratulations to Kenan for his second World Supersport Championship title,” Bronec said. “I am happy to welcome him in our team. To compete in Moto2 for the last two races is a real challenge and my team and Kenan are ready for it.”
