Oz MX: Murray Bridge to hold 2011 Junior MX Nationals

Motorcycling Australia has confirmed that the 2011 Australian Junior Motocross Championships will be held in Murray Bridge, South Australia.

Excited by the opportunity to host the next generation of Motocross stars, Murray Bridge Sporting Car Club and Motorcycle Club general manager Tim McAvaney said he was looking forward to next year’s event.

“We are excited and thrilled to have been allocated the 2011 Australian Junior Motocross Championships,” he said. “We spent a few days at Lakes to see for ourselves what we are up for, and they set a great example.”

McAvaney said the club’s experience in managing major events will ensure the 2011 championships will be one to remember.

“It is a huge event and we believe we have everything in place to deliver the best Australian Junior Motocross yet,” he continued.

Major events such as the Australian Junior Motocross Championships are not unfamiliar to Murray Bridge, with the region having hosted national and international events.

Dates for the 2011 event are yet to be confirmed and will be released by MA once the 2011 National Events Calendar has been finalised.
