Oz DT: Senior Dirt Track titles set for Mildura on Saturday

More than 100 riders are set to descend on the north-western Victorian town of Mildura for the 2010 Australian Senior Dirt Track Championship, to be held this Saturday, 23 October.

Competitors from Queensland, South Australia, and New South Wales have been confirmed, with several Australian champions returning and aiming to add to their trophy cabinets.

Reigning Pro Lites and MX Open Champion Luke Richards is a starter and he hopes to retain his titles against multiple Australian champion Paul Caslick, while Mildura local and former national titleholder Rowan Tegart will lead the home-club assault.

Tegart was the standout performer at the recent Victorian Senior Dirt Track Championships and will be hoping to keep some of the silverware on offer in the region.

In addition to a host of a Australian stars, strong fields are expected for the Sidecar class, Quads and support Junior classes, making for an action-packed Saturday at the Jambaroo Motorcycle Complex.

Fans are encouraged to support Australia’s best Senior Dirt Track riders, with racing to start from 1:00pm and continue into the night.
