New ASBK champion Bryan Staring will debut the number one plate in WA this weekend.

New Australian Superbike Champion Bryan Staring will headline this weekend’s WesTrac Kings of Wanneroo at Barbagallo Raceway in Western Australia on Sunday.

The Cougar Bourbon Honda Racing rider endured treacherous conditions at Tassie last weekend to claim the Superbike crown, adding to his previous achievements of both Australian Supersport and 125GP titles.

Western Australian Staring, now based on the Gold Coast, will make his race debut this weekend with the number one plate, trading in his customary number 67 to indicate his official national champion status.

Joining staring at the popular Kings event will be international road racer Jeremy McWilliams and Ducati Motologic’s Jamie Stauffer.

WA regulars to watch for will be 2010 WA Superbike Champion Ben Henry, Ben Stronach, Jamie Boland and Cameron Stronach – all supported by a strong field of local superbike riders.

The day’s events will also feature the Kings of Wanneroo Sidecars, 125GP racing, Supersport/Superstock Challenge Cup and the Stars of Tomorrow Clubman.

Sunday’s action gets underway with qualifying for all classes at 9.00am and racing from midday.
