Kawasaki Racing Team manager Troy Carroll believes that Monster Energy Super X points leader Josh Hansen will be able to go ahead and win next year’s West Coast regional AMA Supercross Lites Championship if he can continue his current form.

Hansen has been flawless in Super X this season, holding a 46-point lead after Dunedin’s most recent round in New Zealand last weekend, and former multi-time national champion Carroll is confident that Hansen can take his momentum back to the U.S.

“We’re all really excited for Josh and we’re confident that he can win this championship and go on to win an AMA Championship next year,” the Queenslander commented.

“We are really happy with his performance both on and off the track and we’re looking forward to the last two rounds of racing back in Australia.”

Hansen became the first two-time winner of the season at Dunedin in treacherous conditions on Saturday night, and he can’t wait for the series to continue on Saturday night at Parramatta Stadium in Sydney.

“I put in two good solid races. I got the hole-shot each race, checked out and did my own thing,” Hansen said of Dunedin. “I want to finish each race knowing that I rode well and that was the case tonight.

“I can’t wait for Sydney. Hopefully it will be a good, dry, technical track. I’m ready to get racing and put my bike on the top of the box again.”
