Cougar Bourbon Honda Racing’s Dan Reardon and Rockstar Motul Suzuki’s Jake Moss have won the Open heats at Sydney’s sixth round of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship.

Reardon worked his way past first time Super X rider Billy Mackenzie (Kawasaki Racing Team) after an entertaining duel up front, eventually winning the first heat over the impressive Mackenzie and Todd Waters (Cougar Bourbon Honda Racing).

Fourth was Dan McCoy (Hart and Huntington Coastal KTM), ahead of fellow KTM riders Mike Alessi and Beau Pesic.

Heat two saw Jake Moss win, with series points leader Josh Hansen (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) bouncing back from a first corner crash to take a hard-earned second ahead of Craig Anderson (Berry Sweet Strawberries Craig Anderson Racing Honda).

Next best was Tye Simmonds (JDR Motorex KTM), who was followed by Jay Marmont (CDR Rockstar Yamaha) and teammate Jeff Alessi.

In the opening Lites heat it was title leader PJ Larsen (JDR Motorex KTM) who won ahead of Ford Dale (Serco Yamaha), Josh Cachia (Coastal KTM) and Adam Monea (Serco Yamaha).

Heat two saw Robbie Marshall take a popular win aboard his Yamaha YZ250 two-stroke, edging out defending champion Matt Moss (Rockstar Motul Suzuki), Ryan Marmont (JDR Motorex KTM), Kade Mosig (Cougar Bourbon Honda Racing) and Lawson Bopping (Rockstar Motul Suzuki).

The main event action will be broadcast live on SPEED TV at 7.30pm AEST (check your local guide for details).
