Oz SX: Hansen confirms Super X title with Brisbane win

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Josh Hansen wrapped up the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, with a second place in final number two at Brisbane’s QSAC stadium this evening.

Hansen won the opening six-lap final of the night and then took a safe third in final two the win the title.

In the final race of the season, Hansen took the holeshot and rode to an unchallenged victory as the conditions began to improve to round out the night.

Hansen won the overall for the round ahead of Kawasaki Racing Team teammate Billy Mackenzie, the Scottish international star taking his second podium in two attempts.

JDR Motorex KTM’s 18-year-old finished his season with a strong third overall in his final appearance before moving to America for 2011.

The title saw Hansen win ahead of CDR Rockstar Energy Yamaha’s Jay Marmont – who was fourth overall in Brisbane – while Jake Moss remained third despite finishing eighth in Brisbane.
