Oz SX: Heats won, schedule adjusted for Brisbane finals

Rain has caused a schedule revision for tonight's Super X finale in Brisbane.

Rain has caused a schedule revision for tonight's Super X finale in Brisbane.

The schedule has been adjusted for tonight’s final round of the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, after rain pounded QSAC Stadium this afternoon.

Practice and qualifying was cancelled from the schedule, before a number of sighting laps were had before the heat races commenced.

Heat race winners included Tye Simmonds and Josh Hansen in the Opens, while Steven Clarke and Kade Mosig won the Lites.

Lites title leader Matt Moss finished sixth in heat two after a number of crashes during the race, while arch-rival PJ Larsen was a comfortable third in the opening heat.

The finals are about the start with the Lites scheduled for a trio of five lap races, before the Open main event will consist of three six lappers.

The fan favourite Eliminator Challenge has been cancelled due to the track conditions, which saw much of the front straight under water this afternoon.

Also cancelled was the Manufacturer’s Challenge.
