Change to MA Board following 2011 AGM

Motorcycling Australia (MA) has confirmed there has been one change to the Board of MA following the AGM held on Monday 16 May.

John Tisdale has replaced Les Thomas in the role of Vice President, while Lyal Allen retained his position as a Director.

Speaking after the elections MA President, Stephen Foody, thanked Les for his contribution to the Board over the previous years.

“Les has been a great asset to the MA Board,” said Foody.

“On behalf of the rest of the Directors and MA, I would like to sincerely thank Les for all his efforts.”

“I would also like to welcome John to the role of Vice President.:

“John has been involved with the Commissions at MA for more than a decade and brings a wealth of knowledge to the position. I look forward to working with John and the other Directors and would once again like to welcome him to the Board of MA.”

Though surprised by his appointment, Tisdale was looking forward to taking on the position following Monday’s election.
“I was pleasantly surprised when I was elected to the role,” Tisdale said.

“There are a number of challenges facing MA and I hope that I’ll be able to contribute to developing innovative ways of tackling these throughout the two years of the role.”

“I’m very much looking forward to it and I certainly hope that I’ll be able to make a difference to Motorcycle Sport over the coming years.”
