Aaron Morris made his Superbike debut in the Formula Oz class last weekend at Eastern Creek FX.
Aaron Morris impressed with a solid result at the Eastern Creek round of the Australian FX-Superbike Championship last weekend, campaigning a Pope Building Services Ducati Australia DGS 1098R in the Formula Oz field.
Despite being excluded from the results for testing at the Sydney-based venue on the Monday prior to the round, Morris impressed with a best lap of 1:32.6 in race one on Sunday.
The weekend saw Morris cross the line first in the trio of races on Sunday against a mixed field of 1000cc and 600cc machines, and he enjoyed the experience in his first outing on a Superbike.
“The 1098R is definitely the most awesome thing I have ever ridden,” Morris said. “I appreciate this opportunity that the team has given me. Thanks to everyone that made this possible.”
Morris has ridden a variety of bikes in 2011 to date, including a CBR1000RR in the opening FX rounds, a Yamaha YZF-R6 in the Asian Road Racing Championship, and now the 1098R last weekend.
