Aussie Casey Stoner was sixth quick in Spain on Monday during MotoGP testing.

Australian Casey Stoner was sixth fastest during Catalunya’s post-race test on Monday in Spain.

The test was topped by Monster Energy Tech 3 Yamaha’s Andrea Dovizioso fresh from his podium on Sunday, setting a 1:41.997.

Stoner was 0.372sec off the pace of Dovizioso. The Repsol Honda Team’s sole goal was to test the new specification Bridgestone front tyre.

They sought to tune their bike’s settings for Silverstone, after which the new compound will be available as a full allocation.

There was no set theme for the day, as most teams worked on different areas to improve either their immediate, or future pace.

Stoner went quickest in the morning session, though was relegated down the order in the afternoon to sixth.
