Team Honda Racing has confirmed it will line up in the 2013 Australian Superbike Championship.

Paul Free’s Melbourne-based tuning company Motologic has re-signed with Honda Australia, securing a two-year deal to compete in the ASBK.

Fielding a two-rider team in 2013, Team Honda Racing will mount a clear challenge for the Superbike title on board the powerhouse Honda CBR1000RR.

In 2012, Team Honda Racing dominated the race track for the majority of the season with 10 race wins and five overall round wins of a possible seven, ultimately finishing second and third in the Superbike category.

The team could not be more determined to take the Superbike title or indeed be in a better position to do so as they look to the 2013 race season.

“I’m very proud to continue Motologic’s relationship with Honda,” commented Free. “Through Team Honda Racing we have built a fantastic foundation around the Honda product and we look forward to even greater success over the next two years both on and off the race track.

“The development of the motorcycle never ceases and we are looking forward to having an even more competitive CBR1000RR heading into the 2013 racing season.”

Tony Hinton from Honda Motorcycles is pleased to continue the partnership with Motologic.

“To continue the Honda/Motologic partnership for a further two years is great news for both parties,” Hinton added. “Motologic have already achieved excellent results with Team Honda Racing and by continuing with Honda, they will be able to further develop Honda’s CBR1000RR Superbike and are sure to achieve exiting results into 2013.”

Team Honda Racing is yet to announce its 2013 rider line-up, however Free has confirmed that Wayne Maxwell will depart the program next season. It’s tipped that Josh Hook will step up from Supersport to Superbike alongside Jamie Stauffer, but yet to be confirmed by the team or Honda.
