Honda Australia is taking orders on its NSF250R Moto3 contender for 2013.

Honda Australia has announced that orders can now be placed for the 2013 Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) developed NSF250R.

Honda is excited to be offering riders the opportunity to purchase a purpose-built, race-ready motorcycle at the affordable RRP price of $24,990 including GST. For orders please contact Paul Free from Team Honda Racing, orders must close on Friday, 14 December 2012.

Embodying the true spirit of Honda racing, the NSF250R builds on the technology cultivated in the RS125R and is a lightweight, well-balanced machine that offers impressive power output and superb handling. Perfectly suited to up-and-coming racers, the 2013 NSF250R boasts a great blend of high performance and rider-friendly traits.

Powered by a liquid cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC, 249cc engine that has been specifically designed for racing, the NSF250R incorporates a front-intake/rear-exhaust configuration with high charging efficiency in order to achieve high output and excellent responsiveness.

To ensure power delivery all the way through the high rpm range, the NSF250R adopts titanium valves for both the intake and exhaust which reduces friction. A close-ratio 6-speed transmission allows gear selection to be optimized over a large variety of racing circuits.

The NSF250R has a compact frame similar to that of the RS125R allowing freedom and nimbleness for effective cornering while impressive rigidity balance and shape further enhance its outstanding controllability.

Honda is also offering the opportunity to purchase just the race developed engine of the NSF250R for a RRP of $11,990 including GST.
