Pirotta joins Go Eleven Kawasaki for 2013 Superstock 1000 FIM Cup

Aussie to make return to Europe next season aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Mitch Pirotta will race in Europe next season for Go Eleven Kawasaki.

Mitchell Pirotta has signed with the Italian-based team, Go Eleven, and will race a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup class in 2013.

Pirotta will look to achieve podium success in the FIM Superstock class in 2013 just as fellow Australian Bryan Staring did this year on board a Ninja ZX-10R.

Pirotta takes a wealth of experience with him to his new team having already won the 2010 Australian Formula Extreme Supersport Championship. 24-year-old Pirotta, who started road racing in 2008, also took second place in the ASBK Superstock 600 class in 2009 and competed in the World Supersport Championship in 2011.

“It feels awesome. It’s like a new lease of life for my career and I feel excited to race on a bike that I look at everyday,” he said. “I know that both the Ninja ZX-10R and my new team, Go Eleven, are capable of top results.

“The team knows what it takes, they’re all really positive and they take on board everything that I say and ask for. Team manager Denis Sacchetti who was a racer himself knows what it takes so all in all it’s a good thing.”

Pirotta’s first FIM STK 1000 race on board the Ninja ZX-10R with Go Eleven will be in Aragon, Spain, on 5-7 April.
