250 Production category back for a second season in 2013

Introduction category will continue to hold Australian championship status.

The 250 Production category will be back in the 2013 season.

Motorcycling Australia will continue its commitment to fostering new talent and assisting riders in other disciplines to make the transition to the exciting sport of road racing with the continuation of the 250 Production class in 2013.

The exciting 250cc production motorcycle racing category will continue to hold Australian championship status and will once again be showcased by International Entertainment Group (IEG) at the 2013 Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK).

Parity and affordability will continue to be held paramount in the 2013 class, which will be open to senior riders of all ages and grades.

MA CEO David White said the class provides the opportunity for up-and-coming riders to compete at a cost-effective level.

“MA is strongly committed to ensuring the continued advancement of motorcycle sport in Australia, and the 250 Production class is a vital step in ensuring growth and sustainability,” White said.
