Bayliss and Husqvarna team up for Troy Bayliss Classic

Bayliss will head a star-studded field for this weekend’s Troy Bayliss Classic in Taree.

Troy Bayliss has teamed up with Paul Feeney Group and Husqvarna for the TBC.

Three-time Superbike World Champion Troy Bayliss will head a star-studded field for this weekend’s Troy Bayliss Classic in Taree, New South Wales. Bayliss will compete on a Paul Feeney Group-prepared Husqvarna TC 449.

“Troy and I are good mates though I never contemplated ever seeing Troy compete on a Husqvarna, so it is a genuine thrill for me to
have him on the Husqvarna TC 449 this weekend for a one off race,” said Feeney.

“A few of the boys have indicated that they are taking the race very seriously and it should add to what is set to be a great days racing.”

The Classic will be held at the renowned Old Bar track and has attracted some legends of the sport including Chris Vermeulen, Randy De Puniet, Jason Crump, Shawn Giles, Jamie Stauffer, Stephen Gall, Toby Price, Dan Reardon, Chris Hollis, Troy Herfoss and a host of current and former legends from various different disciplines.

“Initially I think the perception of the event was that it was possibly going to be considered as a display race, however any time you
put 24 highly competitive riders of this caliber together, make no mistake, we all want to get the win,” Bayliss commented.

“In talking to the guys this week at testing, they are all very excited about the event and keen to lock in some bragging rights for the
next 12 months.”

The event will be held Saturday, 19 January, with a full schedule of Junior and Senior dirt track plus ATV and sidecar events run in
conjunction with the Taree Motorcycle Club as a twilight meeting.

There will also be plenty of off track entertainment from Jack Field (world freestyle trials rider), stunt rider Lukey Luke and burnout king Mick Brasher performing throughout the day.
