NSW Road Race Championships to make return this year

Motorcycling NSW has announced the return of the NSW Road Race Championships.

The 2013 NSW Road Race Championships will take place at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Motorcycling NSW has announced the return of the NSW Road Race Championships for both modern and historic machines.

Sydney Motorsport Park has been confirmed as the venue and the date locked away for the weekend of the 6-7 April 2013.

The weekend will also incorporate the NSW Moto Trials Championship at the same venue, offering even greater value for spectators.

The event is proudly promoted by Motorcycling NSW with the assistance of the Historic and Modern Road Race Committees, Post Classic Racing Association, St George Motorcycle Club and Bankstown Wiley Park Motorcycle Club.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing this event come to fruition,” said Christine Tickner, president of Motorcycling NSW.

“There is a massive effort being put in by all involved and we are certain that the results of their hard work will ensure that this event is a regular fixture on the Motorcycling calendar for years to come.

“Besides the action on track there will be plenty for spectators to see and do with trade and food stalls, children’s amusements and family friendly activities planned for the weekend.

“We thank Glenn, Steve, Laura and all the staff at Sydney Motorsport Park for their support in bringing this event to life.”

Supplementary Regulations and entry forms will be available in the coming weeks and those looking to enter either one are reminded to keep an eye out on the Motorcycling NSW website.

Spectator tickets will be on sale on the day at the gate at a cost of $20.00 per adult per day or $35.00 for a two day pass. Entry for children under 12 is free.

Those wishing to hold a trade stall over the weekend should put forward an expression of interest via e-mail to [email protected].

The NSW Road Race Championship is proudly supported by Kelen Kawasaki, Altegra Marquees and Tee N Cee Grafix.

Further information on the events will be released in the coming weeks.
