Jed Metcher will switch from World Supersport to the IDM series in 2013.

Victorian Jed Metcher has been confirmed for Team Suzuki Mayer in the 2013 IDM Supersport Championship.

After one season in 2010 in the IDM Superbike Championship, Metcher stepped over to the European-based Superstock 600 FIM Cup and won the title in 2011. Last year he races World Supersport.

Unable to secure a competitive world championship seat due to a lack of funding, Metcher has settled on a ride in Germany for this season.

Team Suzuki Mayer is fully supported by Suzuki International Europe and the development team of Dunlop in the IDM Supersport.

Metcher will head to Germany to join his team for a Dunlop test in Spain in early March.
