InsureMyRide Racing will enter the ASBK with Glenn Scott in 2013.

Online motorcycle insurance provider InsureMyRide has sponsored a wide range of road and off road motorcycle events and teams across Australia.

InsureMyRide has further increased its commitment to motorcycle racing with the announcement of the new ‘InsureMyRide Racing’ team as part of the 2013 Australian Superbike (ASBK) series, which kicks off at Phillip Island on 22-24 February.

“Following the success of the eight-week TV Series ‘InsureMyRide – The Ultimate Rider’ we have decided to make an even greater commitment to the sport and its legion of fanatical race supporters,” marketing manager for InsureMyRide, Mark Behr said.

“The winner of the Ultimate Rider TV series received $20,000 Cash and a test ride contract with Honda, which was a fantastic prize in itself. However, we have gone one better, by offering Glenn Scott, the winner of the inaugural series, the top spot on the InsureMyRide Racing team Superbike in the ASBK series for 2013.

“The decision to offer Glenn the ride was not only based on his win in the TV series but his consistent performances over the last two years with Glenn Scott Racing team in the Australian Supersport series, where he delivered an outstanding performance as a privateer.

“At just 21 years of age Glenn, from the Central Coast of NSW, has already demonstrated a dedication and drive to achieve at the highest level of the sport. InsureMyRide looks forward to helping him make his mark on the ASBK Championship in 2013 and putting InsureMyRide Racing on the podium.

“The InsureMyRide Racing Honda will be overseen by Glenn’s older brother Greg Scott, who himself is a former dirt track racer and race team manager of the Glenn Scott Racing Supersport team, and is no stranger to running a competitive race team.

“The InsureMyRide Racing Superbike will sport the vivid yellow livery that is synonymous with the InsureMyRide brand.
