Pirelli tyres now available to order for Tasmanian ASBK round

Link International is pleased to announce availability of tyres for the upcoming Tasmanian round of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) on 5-7 April, for riders who choose to race on Pirelli tyres.

Link International is pleased to announce availability of tyres for the upcoming Tasmanian round of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) on 5-7 April, for riders who choose to race on Pirelli tyres.

All Pirelli Race tyres can now be ordered using the Pirelli ASBK Tyre Order Form relative to their class of competition and available to download at www.linkint.com.au.

Riders will need to enter the round as per usual by completing the normal ASBK entry form, then download the Pirelli ASBK Tyre Order Form and place their tyre order separately with Link International.

Tyres will then be available for pick up at the track prior to the commencement of practice for the event. Once tyres have been ordered, riders will then qualify for the Pirelli Privateer Program, which includes reimbursement of entry fees for Superbike, Prostock at this round (also available to Supersport 600 at relevant rounds).

All Pirelli tyre orders close 14 days prior to the event, so it is important that riders place tyre orders as soon as possible after completing their ASBK entry.

New generation 2013 Pirelli Diablo Superbike Tyres in SC0, SC1 and SC2 compounds are now available to ASBK competitors.

Tyres can now be ordered for this class using the Superbike Tyres Order Form for pick up at the track prior to the commencement of practice at Symmons Plains.

Special ASBK tyre pricing is $499 per set, with ASBK round entry fee of $480 reimbursed by Pirelli to riders at time of tyre purchase (minimum purchase 4 fronts and 4 rears per round). Maximum tyre purchases also apply per round.

With a the minimum tyre purchase of four fronts and four rears per round, plus the entry fee rebate, that equates to racers saving around $895 per round on what they would normally pay , which over the season is some serious savings.

Competitors enter ’round by round’, so state level racers who want to do the local ASBK round only, can also benefit from this program when stepping up to national racing.

Tyres can now be ordered for the Prostock class using the Pro Stock Tyres Order Form, for pick up at the track prior to the commencement of practice at Symmons Plains.

Special ASBK tyre pricing is $499 per set, with ASBK round entry fee of $375 reimbursed by Pirelli to riders at time of tyre purchase (minimum purchase three fronts and three rears per round). Maximum tyre purchase quantities also apply per round.

With the minimum tyre purchase, plus the entry fee rebate, that equates to racers saving around $790 per round on what they would normally pay, which over the season is some serious savings.

The Pirelli ASBK Privateer Program is exclusive to the ASBK series in 2013.

This new ASBK program is designed to complement Pirelli’s ongoing successful involvement in many state based series around Australia, and give riders a chance to “step up” to national competition throughout the year with this exciting ASBK package.

As was the case at Phillip Island, technical assistance is available to all Pirelli riders, with Pirelli technicians available at the track to assist riders to take advantage of the Diablo Superbike range.
