Gresini Honda CRT rider ready to push as MotoGP heads to France.
Australia’s Bryan Staring believes the steady progress he is making aboard the GO&FUN Gresini Honda CRT machine will soon yield his first championship points in MotoGP.
Approaching this weekend’s fourth round at Le Mans, Staring says he is happy with his start to the season and feels he is quickly adapting his riding style to suit the rigours of racing in the premier class.
“I am still really happy with the result from Jerez because it has given us a nice boost to try and do even better in the races coming up,” said Staring.
“Lap by lap I am adapting my riding more and more to MotoGP and I am pushing the bike with more conviction.”
The Aussie is looking forward to the challenge that Le Mans will offer, despite it being one of a number of tracks that he has never raced upon.
“I can’t wait to get out on track at Le Mans, which is a place that fascinates me even though I have never been before,” he continued.
“In fact out of the next seven tracks I only know one of them so I have to concentrate hard on learning them and adapting quickly so that we can start working on set-up.”
“We have been making progress lately so we need to keep going like this and I am sure we will soon achieve our first objective of scoring points.”
Fausto Gresini is similarly confident that Staring is close to his first point-scoring position as he continues to attack the challenge with complete conviction.
“Bryan is making solid progress and thanks to his determination he is adapting to the demands of MotoGP,” said Gresini.
“Now it feels like the points-scoring pos itions are a realistic objective and I am sure he will be amongst them soon.”
Staring finished the Jerez race in 16th place, just a place shy of registering his first points and a position on the MotoGP World Championship standings.
