Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Aussie speedster Arthur Sissis is ready for the challenge of Le Mans after a week-long training camp at the Red Bull Diagnostics and Training Centre (DTC) in the energy drink’s Austrian heartland.

Sissis spent a week at the facility where he and Moto3 teammate Zulfahmi Khairrudin faced a series of tests and diagnostics sessions to determine a program that best suits a rider’s physical and psychological characteristics.

The Australian rider feels the training and a change in routine has him ready for Le Mans with a refreshed approach.

“I come to this Grand Prix after an intense week of work in Austria alongside Fahmi [Zulfahmi Khairuddin],” said Sissis. “I’ve also had some time to unwind by playing golf or hiking. That has been a good way to prepare for this Grand Prix.

“Hopefully this year the weather is good for us. Last season we did not have many dry sessions, and the track was slippery in the wet. In such conditions, the track isn’t really to my liking. If we are lucky and don’t have rain, however, is a really nice circuit. It has some corners with an interesting camber and some very fast corners as well; I like it.”

2012 marked Sissis’ only race at the circuit to date and his second-best finish for the season.

“I have pretty good memories of Le Mans, even though we never rode here in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, as last season I placed fifth in the wet.”

From three starts so far he has placed eighth, 12th and 14th, and currently sits 12th on the standings with 16 points to his name.
