Leading British hope Cal Crutchlow will take his 2013 MotoGP campaign one race at a time as he awaits confirmation on his future.

With teammate Bradley Smith on a two-year deal and Pol Espargaro heavily linked to a premier class seat at Yamaha, Crutchlow’s seat remains uncertain for 2014.

During the pre-event press conference at Le Mans yesterday, Crutchlow opted to remain tight-lipped on the subject.

“There’s nothing I know at the minute, but will focus on race to race,” he said.

Ahead of the fourth round of season 2013 in France this weekend, Crutchlow is in a positive mood after a promising start to the season.

“The Yamaha maybe works well in the cold, as we’ve seen in morning sessions before,” he said. “We need to look at the bike and strategy. I’m pleased with my bike, and if we could get a good result it would be great for the team’s home GP.”

Crutchlow currently sits fifth in the standings after three rounds, with rookie teammate Smith in 12th.
