Frenchman Randy de Puniet will arrive in Japan this week to test Suzuki’s prototype MotoGP entry upon the manufacturer’s return to grand prix racing in 2014.

The Power Electronics Aspar rider crashed out of the Le Mans GP yesterday, however is first in line to spearhead Suzuki’s comeback prospects next season.

De Puniet said he hoped this would see him arrive to the next race in Mugello in a fresh frame of mind to help him mount a serious challenge for top CRT spot on his ART machine.

“Yeah we leave tomorrow to Japan to test with Suzuki in Motegi and it’s good for me because I will forget very quickly the race from today and I think it will be good for Mugello,” he told MotoGP.com.

“I will be ready to be fast immediately. That is a good experience for me how to do a great job and I really hope to come back to Mugello for a good race.”

De Puniet has been part of the Aspar CRT squad since the beginning of last season.
