CycleOnline checks in with Linden Magee following his first test of the new BMW HP4 he'll campaign at Queensland Raceway.
Next Gen Motorsport’s Linden Magee will make his ASBK race debut aboard a BMW HP4 at Queensland Raceway on 14-16 June. Magee, teammate to points leader Allerton, had a chance to shake down the potent new bike at Queensland Raceway as part of the team test last week, and CycleOnline.com.au dropped him a line to find out more about how the day panned out.

It was very positive for us. That was the first real chance to test as such. I rode the bike at Phillip Island on the weekend as pretty much a shakedown, and had a few little issues with it which we ended up sorting. The bike still has the standard engine – it’s pretty much a street bike with suspension, tyres and some fairings. I’m really happy with the times, and really happy with the new bike. The boys are working on the engine in it before the race, and I wasn’t too far off the times of Wayne [Maxwell] and Jamie [Stauffer] so I’m pretty confident going to the race. I’ve got to get as many points as I can really. After that DNF at Tassie the goal is to be on the podium for both races. I think that’s a real chance.
