Standout Aussie Moto3 rider Jack Miller is aiming to trouble the category-leading KTM men when the MotoGP World Championship resumes at Indianapolis Motor Speedway – the ‘Brickyard’ – this weekend.

Miller has been a revelation in his second season in the class, battling at the front of the field aboard his Caretta Technology Honda machine despite its obvious speed disadvantage against rival chassis.

The Townsville born-and-bred talent is edging ever closer to his first world championship podium, and is aiming to put up a fight this weekend despite the track characteristics not favouring the Honda.

“We’re top Honda and that’s good, so we will keep our heads up going into Indy,” said Miller. “I like the track a lot, though it’s pretty slippery and you have to deal with a lot of slides.

“It’s got a long start-finish, with a low-gear corner before, so we’ll have to see what happens.”

Miller has finished the last three grands prix in seventh place, running as high as second in the early stages.

His best finish this season has been sixth, achieved at the Circuit of the Americas, and consistent points hauls from his eight starts thus far has him competitively-placed in seventh overall.
