2011 Australian Supersport Championship runner-up Brodie Waters has re-ignited his road race aspirations, confirming a ride with the AARK Racing Team for the final two rounds of the World Supersport Championship.

Waters finished a close second in 2011, and was bumped to third overall in a dramatic conclusion to the domestic championship which was claimed by Mitchell Carr.

Carr then headed abroad with Andy’s Offer’s AARK outfit, contesting the first 10 rounds before parting ways with the team.

Waters, who has been keeping himself match fit through other two-wheel competition, was excited to confirm the move which will see him line up at Magny-Cours and Jerez.

“I was very excited when I spoke to Andy Offer and discovered that if we could raise the necessary funds we could do the final 2 rounds of the World Supersport Championship,” said Waters.

“I have had to get lots of help and I will have many people to thank soon, but we have managed to make it happen. I will be at Magny-Cours on  4-6 October and Jerez 18-20 October 2013.”

Brodie joins brothers Josh and Nick in pursuing opportunities on an international scale in 2013. Josh currently races in British Superbikes, while Nick is contesting the Asia Dream Cup.

As with any international move, there are significant costs involved in such a venture, and Brodie is appealing to any potential sponsors who may see benefit in the extensive international exposure.

“If you know anyone who is keen to help me get to these 2 rounds, there is always more room for sponsors,” he said. “I know my Mum and Dad and the credit cards would be grateful!”
