Versatile Aussie racer Damian Cudlin will be a surprise inclusion on the World Supersport grid at Istanbul Park this weekend, confirming the opportunity via his social media accounts.

Cudlin, who last weekend piloted a BMW S 1000 RR in the IDM German Superbike Championship, will switch to a Honda CBR600RR with PTR Honda for the 11th round of the series in Turkey.

“Made it to Istanbul. Cat’s out of the bag now – I’ll be riding World Supersport this weekend for PTR Honda. Can’t wait to rip the little 600!” said Cudlin via his twitter account, @DamoCudlin.

Despite the stark differences between the bikes, Cudlin should have little trouble in adapting to the task, having a wealth of experience in a variety of different championships and disciplines.

He will partner fellow Aussie, teenager Matt Davies, within the powerhouse PTR ranks.
