Aussie Moto3 frontrunner Jack Miller has been confirmed as part of the lineup for the 2014 Troy Bayliss Classic to be held at Taree on 18 January next year.

The teenager from Townsville has a solid background in all disciplines of racing and the flat track discipline will see him revisit his roots within the sport.

“I am looking forward to getting on it with the boys at the Troy Bayliss Classic,” Miller said.

“It will be great to catch up with everyone and get back to good old fashioned grass roots racing back on the dirt.”

Miller, who will switch to the class-leading Red Bull KTM Ajo Motorsports team for next season, is the latest to be announced in a lineup of guests that is expected to reach 36.

He was confirmed today alongside American flat track great Sammy Halbert, with event patron Troy Bayliss warmly welcoming the duo’s inclusion.

“It is fantastic to confirm Jack and Sammy to the Classic,” Bayliss said.

“Jack is well on the way on the way to a successful road race career and Sammy has won some of the most prestigious AMA flat track events on the planet.”

The current rider list includes Bayliss, Ant West, Cameron Donald, Chris Vermeulen and Jason Crump, with many more still to be announced.

The inaugural Troy Bayliss Classic attracted thousands of fans to the Taree Motorcycle Club in Old Bar, with the facility set to improve facilities and viewing capacity to cater for the large crowds.
