BCperformance by Bikesconnect rider Ben Burke is confirmed to make his debut outing in the Superbike class at the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) season finale at Phillip Island this weekend.

The 2012 British Superstock 600 Championship runner-up joined the BCPerformance outfit at the mid-year mark, and has been a consistent podium challenger in the Prostock ranks.

The team has confirmed Burke will make the step into the premier category this weekend where he will pilot the same Kawasaki ZX-10R he has run in the stock 1000 class.

The move also marks a debut within the Superbike ranks for the BCperformance by Bikesconnect team which has forged a strong run of results in the 12 months since it was established.

The team will feature additional sponsorship backing from A1 Motorcycles this weekend, with the view to extending the relationship to assist a full-time entry into the Superbike class in 2014.

BCperformance will also field Joel Hughes and Patrick Lee in the Prostock ranks at the ASBK season finale.
