Olly Simpson will remain the lone Australian on the grid at the 2014 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Seven talented young Aussies took part in the selection event last week at Monteblanco, however none were able to transfer to the series full time next season.

A total of 102 teenagers rode in the selection event representing 27 nations, riding 125cc Metrakits.

Simpson finished 16th in the 2013 Red Bull Rookies Cup championship as a rookie this year.
