2013 MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez was at Twin Ring Motegi on Saturday in order to attend a ‘Thanks Day’ hosted by Honda in front of more than 10,000 fans.

The event served as an opportunity for the Japanese manufacturer to showcase the achievements of its season and for everybody involved to celebrate together in one location.

“It’s always good to come to Japan and see our HRC friends,” Marquez beamed. “This time it’s something special, as we celebrated the title together with a very nice party on Friday evening with our sponsors and then some fun in Tokyo!

“Today we went to Motegi very early for the ‘Honda Thanks Day’ event. The weather has been wonderful and we really enjoyed the last day on-track of this long and exciting season.

“Now tonight we will fly back to Europe as tomorrow we will go to Monte Carlo for the FIM Gala Ceremony.”

The thousands of fans enjoyed autograph sessions, a live Q&A with the Honda riders and drivers on-stage and also a demonstration run from the world champion on both the Motegi race course and the oval track.

The final ceremony involved Marquez leading the HRC JMX competitors and other Honda riders for a two-lap parade run.
