Five-round 2014 FIM Endurance World Championship calendar set

A number of changes on top of provisional dates.

The Endurance World Championship is set for a five-round duration in 2014.

The Endurance World Championship is set for a five-round duration in 2014.

The 2014 FIM Endurance World Championship and Cup calendar has been finalised, spanning five rounds across the season.

Originally slated to be contested over as many as six rounds, the final calendar sees the Navarra Circuit in Spain dropped from the provisional schedule.

As well, the FIM has confirmed that Qatar will return to the schedule with the 12 Hours of Doha as the season-clincher in November.

The other rounds of the season are the same as the ones run in 2013. The World Cup, for Superstock machines, will count four rounds (Suzuka event not included).

2014 FIM Endurance World Championship calendar:
Rd1 – 26-27 April – Bol d’Or 24 Hours, France
Rd2 – 27 July – Suzuka 8 Hours, Japan
Rd3 – 23 August – 8 Hours of Oschersleben, Germany
Rd4 – 20-21 September – 24 Hours of Le Mans, France
Rd5 – 14-15 November – 12 Hours of Doha, Qatar
