Two-time Australian Superbike Champion Josh Waters is confident he can turn his fortunes around in the 2014 British Superbike Championship upon return to Suzuki next season.

Waters struggled for much of his rookie season this year before being released by Milwaukee Yamaha, but displayed promise aboard a privateer Kawasaki in the closing rounds.

His longstanding relationship with Suzuki assisted in securing him a seat at Tyco Suzuki alongside John Hopkins in 2014, marking an important return to the GSX-R1000.

“I’m really excited for the 2014 season,” Waters said. “As most people would know, next year I’m racing in the most competitive domestic championship in the world, the British Superbike Championship.

“And the thing I’m really excited about is that I’ll be riding for Tyco Suzuki and getting back on a GSX-R! Back home in Australia, I rode for Team Suzuki for seven years and every one of them was really good for me.

“I know next year isn’t going to be easy, the championship and circuits are very tough, but I know I’m with a great team and I’m on a bike I’m really looking forward to riding.”

Waters is currently back in Australia, poised to marry longtime partner Virginia in the new year before commencing testing with Suzuki in the UK.
