InsureMyRide Le Minz 24 Hour Scooterthon commences today

Bayliss, Crump and more locked in for world class scooter race.

Superbike legend Troy Bayliss will headline the Le Minz Scooterthon.

The InsureMyRide Le Minz 24 Hour Scooterthon presented by Moto Expo, Reevu Helmets and UniFilter charity event start’s today, 11:00am at the Xtreme Karting Complex in Queensland.

The 24 Hour 50cc Scooter charity event, which raises money for the RACESAFE Medical Team and Give Me 5 for Kids attracts some of the best riders in the world including triple World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss.

Other quality contenders include World Speedway Champion Jason Crump, Moto2 racer Anthony West, motocross legend Stephen Gall, Carrera Cup racer Michael Patrizi, AFL legend Spida Everett, plus many more current elite motorcycle racers and special guests riders.

A record 45 scooters (180 riders) will line up for the start. When the green flag drops they will continue for 24 Hours until the checkered flag drops 11:00am Saturday.

Spectators are more then welcome, it’s a gold coin donation at the gate, there is a jumping castle for the kids and all the guest riders will be happy to sign autographs.

“The Scooterthon is a fun little event,” Bayliss said. “It raises funds for RACESAFE Medical team who provide a great service motorcycle race events.

“I think I will be doing the first few hours on Friday before handing over to Crumpy and the other boys on my team, in total we will do about 6 hours each on the scooter within the 24 hours.”

Bayliss will team up with Crump and Mark ‘Brownie’ Brown, of Brown’s Graffix fame.
