Australian Road & Track Rider Promotions has confirmed Dunlop will remain the control tyre of its national road racing series, the Australasian Superbike Championship (ASC).

Dunlop will return for the next two years as the supplier of control tyres for the premier Superbike, Supersport and the Pro-Twins F1 and Nakedbike F1 classes.

It’s been confirmed that the Dunlop tyres supplied for the series will be built in France, rather than the United States.

Superbike slicks, the 125/65R17 KR106 front ($215) and 195/65R17 KR108 rear ($310) will be $525 per set. The first round will use the UK 4886 due to late arrival of the updated tyres.

Supersport will return to treaded tyres as of next season, utilising the D212 GP Pro tyre for $495 per set ($200 front, $295 rear). The opening round will feature the D211 GP-A tyre.

The Pro-Twins F1 and Nakedbike F1 categories will also use slick tyres, the 125/65R17 KR106 front ($215) and either the 185/65R17 KR108 ($300) or 195/65R17 KR108 ($310) rears for $515 to $525 per set.

All categories will have open regulations when it comes to wet weather tyres, however intermediates won’t be eligible.

Pricing for the tyres include fitting and balancing at the track, that service provided at the track by the Monza Imports and Ficeda.

The new control tyres will be available in Australia from the third week of January 2014.

Contingencies will include the top-placed overall privateer during Sunday rounds in Superbike, Supersport and Pro-Twins each receiving a set of control tyres.
