Australasian Supersport Championship contender Aaron Gobert’s Wet4U Racing team has secured support from energy drink company TapouT Energy ahead of the 2014 season.

Gobert, a former national champion in Australia and the US during a decorated career, will return for a second full season aboard a Kawasaki ZX-6R in the team operated by Paul Grant-Mitchell, building upon a platform set in 2013.

TapouT Energy Australia’s entry into domestic motorcycle racing comes following a successful involvement in a variety of forms of motor racing, including Ryal Harris’ V8 Utes title-winning campaign last year.

Additional support from Kawasaki Australia in the Wet4U Racing program has Gobert confident that he can challenge for the championship in what’s emerged as a talent-filled 29-rider line up for next weekend’s Wakefield Park opening round.

“Having the support of TapouT Energy on the Wet4U Racing team this year is a real boost for our program and goes a long way toward our title chances,” Gobert commented.

“I’m confident the Kawasaki ZX-6R will be more than competitive this season, as we’ve seen in World Supersport for many seasons. We have a really positive team structure this year and I’m excited to get the season underway.”

Wet4U Racing will also field Ryan Mckenzie in the Kawasaki Insurances FX300 Ninja Cup; the all-new entry level category that will utilise the top-selling Ninja 300 throughout the ASC season.
