Cudlin set to make guest SERT appearance at Bol d'Or

Aussie to test with Suzuki for role as reserve rider in France.

Experienced international Damian Cudlin is slated to make a surprise appearance with the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) at the Bol d’Or 24 Hour round of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC).

Cudlin has confirmed via Facebook that he will test with the team in France, with plans to contest the opening race of the EWC season as SERT’s reserve rider at Magny-Cours.

“I’ve been pretty quiet over the off-season as I haven’t had much good news to report,” Cudlin explained. “Hopefully that is about to change. I’m now in France, getting prepared to test with current Endurance World Champions, SERT.

“The team manager has enlisted me as a fourth rider (reserve) for the Bol d’Or 24 Hour. Obviously being a reserve rider is not ideal, however it’s a chance to build a bond with the best team in endurance and it may even give me an opportunity to race with them in the future.

“I’ve wanted to sample this bike for most of my EWC career, so I’m looking forward to it.”

Cudlin’s availability for the EWC season comes following his former BMW team’s decision to exit the series at the conclusion of last season.
