Motorcycling Australia (MA) has revealed it will be the promoter of Phillip Island’s 2014 Australian Superbike Championship final on 19-20 July.

The event will be run as scheduled by former series promoter International Entertainment Group (IEG), which had its five-year tenure conclude last Friday.

With Darwin’s two-plus-four event alongside the V8 Supercars controversially scrapped from the championship, the ASBK series will be a two-round title in 2014.

According to MA, Supplementary Regulations will be available next week, along with an online entry form for riders. Prize money has also been confirmed for the weekend.

The announcement also stated information regarding the 2015 series will be made “within the next few weeks”.
