Monster Energy Yamaha will field two bikes in the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours round of the FIM Endurance World Championship in July, featuring no less than four Australians split aboard the pair of factory YZF-R1s.

Paul Bird Motorsports MotoGP racer Broc Parkes will make his return to EWC with Yamaha alongside British Superbike Championship contender Josh Brookes on the number 07 entry, partnered with Japanese factory ace Katsuyuki Nakasuga.

Regular Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) combination Maxwell and Olson will remain aboard the customary number 7 bike, joining Brookes’ Milwaukee Yamaha British Superbike teammate Tommy Bridewell in another formidable line up.

It’s understood that the Parkes/Brookes/Nakasuga entry with YSP will contest the race on Bridgestone tyres, while Maxwell/Olson/Bridewell will continue with Pirelli as per YART’s world championship agreement.

Meanwhile, it’s also been confirmed this week that Suzuki MotoGP test rider Nobuatsu Aoki will join 1993 World 500cc Champion Kevin Schwantz and former All Japan Superbike Champion Satoshi Tsujimoto in the Yoshimura Suzuki Legend Team.

Suzuka standout Josh Waters, currently competing for Tyco Suzuki in the British Superbike Championship, had previously been announced as part of the Yoshimura Suzuki Shell Advance team next to Takuya Tsuda.

The 2014 Suzuka 8 Hours will take place at the famed Japanese venue on 25-27 July.
