Australia’s Josh Waters’ difficult return to Suzuki continued at the Snetterton round of the 2014 MCE British Superbike Championship on Sunday, eventually logging a pair of top 10 finishes.

Waters struggled to 14th on the grid aboard the factory-supported Tyco Suzuki over two seconds from pole position-setter Shane Byrne’s pole time, before forging forward on Sunday for a pair of 10th place finishes.

The race two result came despite an early off-track excursion, and Waters insists he continues to work hard with the team in order to turn his season around in the early stages.

“It’s been another tough and frustrating weekend, but also good to score two top 10s,” Waters admitted. “We’ve been working to try and find a comfortable set-up with the Tyco Suzuki GSX-R.

“Although the results don’t maybe reflect it at the minute, I’ve also been putting in a big effort. Full credit to the boys in the team as they are working hard alongside me in the garage.”

After racing to his best results of 2014 at Snetterton’s third round, Waters currently sits 14th in the championship standings.
