Anvil Hire TAG Racing Kawasaki rider Mitchell Carr missed both MCE British Superbike Championship races at Snetterton after an incident in Saturday’s qualifying session.

The former Australian Supersport Champion, returning from a broken hand sustained last time out at Oulton Park, was nudged by another rider at the start of the first shootout session and was ruled out with a nasty shoulder injury that is due to be fully assessed by a specialist this week.

“We’ve worked really hard to get ready for Snetterton, but luck deserted us and I received a nudge from another rider on the opening lap of qualifying,” Carr said. “My shoulder is badly dislocated and put me out of action for the races.

“It’s very unlucky for the whole team and I’m booked in to see the specialist to understand the full extent of the damage.”

Carr entered the BSB in 2014 after a single season in World Supersport last year.
